Aergo Appraisal ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we communicate with you (including by text message), and the choices you have. By using our website, submitting information to us, or opting in to communications, you agree to the practices described below.

We collect information you provide to us directly and a limited amount of information automatically when you visit our website.

Information you provide. When you fill out a form, request an appointment, submit a service inquiry, or otherwise contact us, you may provide:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Mailing or property address

  • Phone number (including mobile number)

  • Property details related to an appraisal request

  • Any other information you choose to share with us

Information provided by lenders or other authorized parties. If you are the homeowner or occupant of a property being appraised, your lender, attorney, AMC, or other authorized party may share your name, address, and contact information (including your phone number) with us so we can schedule and complete the appraisal.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to collect basic usage data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and complete appraisal appointments

  • Communicate with you about your appraisal or service request

  • Respond to your inquiries

  • Send you transactional text messages and emails related to our services

  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and professional standards (including USPAP)

3. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) Program

We offer a text messaging program to make scheduling and communicating about your appraisal easier. The following terms apply to anyone who provides a mobile number to us or opts in to receive text messages from Aergo Appraisal.

Program description. Aergo Appraisal sends text messages for appointment scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, follow-up questions related to an active appraisal, and responses to inquiries you initiate.

Consent and opt-in. You may opt in to receive text messages from us by:

  • Providing your mobile number on a form on our website and indicating consent to be contacted by text;

  • Verbally or in writing authorizing us to text you about an appraisal; or

  • Having your lender, attorney, AMC, or other authorized party provide your mobile number to us for the purpose of scheduling and completing an appraisal.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us and the status of your appraisal. You can generally expect messages only during an active engagement.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan. Aergo Appraisal does not charge you for messages, but your carrier may.

Opt-out (STOP). You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and we will stop sending text messages to that number. If you opt out, we may still need to contact you about your appraisal by phone or email.

Help (HELP). For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us directly at 425-230-2622 or office@aergoappraisal.com.

Supported carriers. Our messaging program is compatible with major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy of mobile information — important. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information related to text messaging opt-in, consent, and the mobile phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose other than what is necessary to deliver the messaging service you have requested (for example, sharing the number with the messaging platform we use to actually send the message).

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run our business and our messaging program (for example, our SMS platform provider, scheduling software, and IT providers). These providers are only authorized to use your information to perform services for us and are required to keep it confidential.

  • Lenders, AMCs, and authorized parties. When an appraisal is ordered through a lender, AMC, attorney, or other authorized party, we share the completed appraisal and related communications with that party as part of the engagement.

  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

  • Business transfers. If Aergo Appraisal is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this Privacy Policy.

As noted above, mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent information are excluded from any sharing for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Your Choices

  • Text messages: Opt out anytime by replying STOP to any message.

  • Email: You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails by following the instructions in the email or contacting us.

  • Cookies: Adjust cookie settings in your browser. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

  • Access and correction: Contact us if you want to review, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. We will respond consistent with applicable law and our professional record-keeping obligations (appraisal workfiles must be retained under USPAP).

6. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with industry standards.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law and professional standards (including USPAP workfile retention requirements). When information is no longer needed, we securely dispose of it.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
